Content copied from a list item to the clipboard cannot be pasted into existing list items. When such an attempt is made, the content is not pasted into the list item, but a new list item is created with that content.

This bug is serious.  It affects one of the simplest capabilities of a text editor and should be fixed as soon as possible.

Applies to Web Client and Desktop Client on macOS and Windows.
