No Recent notes list but Trash list of notes occupies more than half my side bar
In using various apps I have learned to love the typical "Recent" list that is often in the side bar. Some apps, particularly notes apps, have the option for the user to enable / disable the Recent notes list. I work with notes every day and I have grown to *love* the Recent notes list, I use it all the time in other notes apps. I find it to be a very painful omission in Nimbus. Like many other users with their typical notes use patterns, it is very common for me to edit a note, navigate to one or two other notes, and then go back to the first one. The "Favourites" list does not help in this instance because I may switch between dozens of notes so I would be perpetually adding to / removing from Favourites which is even more work than navigating. In consulting with other people who use notes apps, they confirmed that they too often have a sub-group of 3-7 notes they move between while working on a specific project and then later when working on a different project they will navigate back-and-forth between a different sub-group of 3-7 notes. All of these are fluid, which is why having a Recents list is a super powerful productivity enhancement. Sadly and comically I've noticed that Nimbus by default has an expandable / collapsible Trash list. Recently I deleted a bunch of notes and I laughed when I saw that more than half my sidebar was occupied by Trash, which is quite literally useless, really nothing more than a distraction from what is important.
Requests:
One: Implement a Recent notes list: 1) User can enable / disable. 2) Minimum 5 notes. 3) Optionally the ability for the user to select how many notes are in the Recents list - this is a valuable option if you can program it because: A) Everyone has different size screens so on small laptops 10 recents can be nearly half the screen height, but for me using a huge monitor I would like access to up to 10. B) Everyone has different work styles. Some people move between 2-3 notes during a project, others can be 10 or even more.
Two: Trash: Seems the default behaviour is to have the list expanded; this is more irritating than useful. Trash is trash, users do not need to see a list of notes they have trashed, it is a waste of good space and is distracting. Please change the default setting to have the Trash view in the collapsed view.
Thank-you!
