Loading or refreshing a note is strangely slow. I've used Apple Notes, Evernote, Simplenote, and others on mobile, desktop, and web. After deciding to make Nimbus my main note app I noticed that it is VERY slow compared to other notes apps. With Apple Notes and Evernote there is a small lag but only a fraction of a second. With Nimbus I get a blank page for 1 second... 2 seconds... and then some content shows up and some spinning things show up where jpgs are supposed to be, 3 seconds... 4 seconds more content loads and photos start to show up and then the note is ready for editing. Even if I am using a note that is text only, I find myself staring at my computer screen, having to pause mid thought as I wait for the page to refresh. Super short notes with only text are painfully slow to load but such notes should be INSTANT. The longer the note, and the more "attachments" such as PDFs or jpgs, the worse it gets. I've had notes that are 10-20 pages long take 5-10 seconds to load. If I then leave that note, go to a different one for a few minutes and then come back to it, it takes another 5-10 seconds to load again. It's quite frustrating. Objectively I'd say that most notes load faster than 5-10 seconds; most take 1-3 seconds... but why? With my workflow I am moving from note to note to note to note over and over and over; it's the way it is with the type of items I deal with; I have to constantly go to a reference note to look up something and then go to a "work in progress note" to do an edit and then move to the next note and that process repeats all day long. After about a month or two after making Nimbus my main notes app, I'm starting to find myself getting increasingly frustrated and impatient and watching notes load all day long. With Evernote or Apple Notes this problem was minimal. I don't know if it is the Nimbus programming, or if it is a poor server that is used to host the data. I'm using a very fast M1 Mac and nothing lags on it; almost everything is instant, across all apps, whether web or desktop... except Nimbus... Nimbus loading a page is like an exhausted tired person slowly and painfully getting out of bed. Whatever the problem is... my request to the programmers is this:
